Trezor Bridge is a small background service that lets desktop apps talk to the device over USB. Install it once from the official Trezor download page; after that, Electrum RVN will detect the connected Trezor automatically. On Linux you may need to add the standard udev rules so the device is reachable without root — Trezor publishes them, and most distributions already include a trezor package that drops them into place.
Trezor's optional passphrase feature layers an additional word — your choice — on top of the 24-word recovery seed. Each distinct passphrase produces a completely separate Ravencoin wallet, with its own addresses and its own balance. This is useful for plausible-deniability setups (a "decoy" wallet with a small balance, and a real wallet behind a passphrase) or for cleanly splitting holdings without buying a second device.
Signing asset transactions with Trezor
Ravencoin asset transfers, issuances, and reissues are normal Ravencoin transactions with extra outputs encoding the asset payload. The Trezor signs them like any other RVN transaction — the device shows the outputs, you confirm on screen, and the signed transaction goes back to Electrum RVN for broadcast. Keep the device firmware current so newer transaction types are recognised cleanly.
Restore the 24-word recovery seed onto a replacement Trezor and re-pair it with Electrum RVN — every address and balance is back. If you also used a passphrase, you'll need to enter the same passphrase to reach the same wallet. While the replacement is in transit, you can install Electrum RVN and import the seed as a software wallet to spend from temporarily; rotate to a fresh seed on the new hardware when it arrives if you suspect the original was compromised.
